This in the news today brought a factual question to my mind:

> Lamberth, an appointee of Republican president Ronald Reagan, ordered the reinstatement by March 23 of 1,042 VOA employees who have been on paid administrative leave for the past year.

This surprised me because I thought widespread paid administrative leave ended on September 30, 2025. So I am wondering how many are still being paid not to work, aside from the Voice of America staff.

I am NOT asking for whether it is good or bad to have employees being paid not to work, just for the number – ideally, broken down by agency.
