Average for the first 46 days of the year covered by this poll is 2223.3 deaths a day.

So, despite having a vaccine for an entire year, we only ended up averaging 954 fewer deaths a day than the same period the previous year.

The last 3 days we’ve had over 3k deaths. I attributed Monday to the fact that Sunday’s numbers were just in the hundreds, but the weekend effect probably doesn’t explain 3 days…
