Thirteen. Born with an outhouse, now I don’t consider my home complete without a utility sink in the garage to rinse off my gardening tools and boots. Remembering the joy all downstate working men had when their organization turned Illinois for Truman, and Kaltenborne had to eat his hat. ---

I was born in 1961, so there’s been Kennedy (the only one of whom I have absolutely no memory whatever), LBJ, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, GHW Bush, Clinton, GW Bush, and Obama. ---

8, but just barely - I was born two weeks before Nixon resigned. As far as my parents were concerned, that was the best month _ever_. ---

1. Another Truman baby checking in. I can remember watching Eisenhower’s first election on TV. My great-grandmother (I can remember her just a tad, she died in 1952) checks in with 23. She was born in 1847 when Polk was president and died when Truman was in office. I’m cheating a bit perhaps by counting Cleveland twice. ---

I’m at 9 for each of Canadian PMs and US Presidents. Pearson was PM when I was born (I removed the duplicate Trudeau). Johnson was President. I have no memory of either Pearson or Johnson being alive. But I do remember all of them after that including Trudeau and Nixon. ---
