Cook, absolutely. I like to drive, and I have no use for a butler. A maid would be nice too, but if I only get one Iā€™d rather have a cook. ---

Housekeeper, or better still, a cleaning service. Once a week, vacuum, dust, put things away, wash the floors, etc., then leave. How about a robot slave who can clean, shovel the snow, mow and rake the lawn, do household repairs, and drive? 'Cause robots are cool. Regards, Shodan ---

The difference is biological, not functional. Just as a curiosity, I tried finding out the translation for _ama de llaves_ (the Spanish name for the female version) and google says housekeeper, but I think governess might be more precise, since many people use ā€œhousekeeperā€ to mean ā€œa cleaning lady who also does some cookingā€. ---
