I brought the pies only. That set me back almost $70 for 4.
We went out to dinner last night. While I left the table to say hi to a friend, my gf ordered a bottle of a Mendoza Vineyards Malbec (2013 IIRC). The grapes are from vines originally planted in 1907, hence the wine’s name 1907.
When I returned to the table, the waitress was opening the wine. She poured me a taste (although my gf had ordered it:dubious:). I tasted it, and seeing the name, commented, “Oh. 1907. A very good year”. Went over everyone’s head :(.
Anyway, it was a great, cheap red.
