# How much cash in an "emergency" stash?

Because they’re easy to replace if someone breaks into my vehicle and takes the emergency kit. As I said, there’s cash in the main earthquake supply kit, which is stored in the house in an area that’s likely to be accessible, not collapsed, and on our way out of the structure.

I keep a tenner to pay tolls, plus a few quarters for parking meters.
