Could it be something environmental, as in whatever you use to wash the floors? Something innocent seeming like that, that you wouldn’t think of as a suspect? The dog having an allergic type reaction is making me think maybe it’s environmental somehow? Something in your cleaning routine that’s changed recently maybe aggravating things at the least? Ask the vet if it could be something enviromental, that both cat and dog are coming into contact with? Good luck.
Another thought, could it be mange? Or as another poster suggested, an allergy to flea bites? That would explain why it seems to be seasonal. Hope your vet figures out what’s going on.
I’ll tell ya how much catnip is too much catnip!
I made the mistake of leaving out a whole bag one night and right about 2 am the household was awoken to a cat sprinting from room to room bounding off walls, furniture, ceilings and diving through miniblinds. He had got ahold of the bag and ate/rolled around in the whole damn thing. He even grabbed my SO’s $100 hair extention clip thingy and took it on his run with him like a trophy…
NOT FUN!!
Thas how much catnip is TOO much catnip!!
They go to the vet on Thursday.
Ca leen ing? What is this cleaning that you speak of…?
Well, they have an appointment Thursday (today) at 9. We found a gazillion fleas on the dog just now. We’ve been looking for weeks, and just saw the first ones tonight.
Argh. My parents’ two cats are coming to stay for a week while they move. :smack:
