And according to [Salary Expert](http://www.salaryexpert.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=Browse.New-York-Manhattan-New-York-Garbageman-Woman-salary-data-details&PositionId=21542&CityId=159), a sanitation worker in NYC makes an average of $48,000 a year.

RE: NYC trash men earn approximately $66K in 2009 according to the NYC website of civil service employees ([seethroughny.net](http://seethroughny.net))

All civil service wages are public record. I went [here](http://www2.8newsnow.com/salaries/search.php?agency=cc&type=-1&limit=25) for Clark Co, NV wages.

Also according to [Salary Expert](http://www.salaryexpert.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=Browse.North-Las-Vegas-Nevada-Fire-Fighter-salary-data-details&PositionId=71284&CityId=3234), a firefighter in North Las Vegas makes app. $59,000 per year.
