club type place or upscale, a buck a drink. Local watering hole, a buck if I’m just running in to grab a 6 pack. At least two bucks if I’m sitting and drinking. If I’m there for several hours and eat, 4 to 6 bucks. ``` If the bartender won't change the channel because he wants to watch figure skating, then there is definitely no tip. ``` ---

I had heard that the tipping in USA was savage- never been there. At home (Australia) I never tip- not even taxi drivers, and I had no problem with the same thing in Ireland or Scotland.
