How much money should you be getting monthly in retirement?

Yes, but the post you were replying to mentioned

If a person lived a frugal life pre-retirement life to end up with a 7 or 8 figure nest egg, it would be really unusual for them to want a post-retirement life that required 5-10 million dollars. There’s a reason that every now and then you read about a janitor or gas station attendant or teacher who wore clothes held together by safety pins , who always parked far enough away from their destination to not have to feed the parking meter , who didn’t get the hearing aids they needed - who dies with a million dollars (or more) ) in the bank or stocks to be left to charity. That has nothing to do with what they wanted to do in retirement , or even really with wanting to be a philanthropist. Donating less money earlier very possibly would have done the charity more good. There was something else that caused that.
