I know spoke is from Atlanta too, which is where a policeman didn’t ticket me, but he did flash his headlights at me, which DID slow me down! Killian Hill used to be 45 miles an hour. They did construction on it, to make it wider and smoother, but limited the speed to 35. I didn’t like the new speed limit so I compromised to go forty. One day a few weeks ago, there was a policeman parked at the side of the road around a bend, when it was too late to react. He flashed his lights, and I slowed down. So I was only ** five ** miles over, and I still got some attention for it. I think it just depends on how the policemen feel at the time.
How fast can ya go? It all depends on the cops. Here in PA,
the fines are pretty stiff for speeding, i know, i’ve gotten
a few already. There have been times when i’ve gone zipping
past cops doing 70, with everybody else around me, and the
cops don’t even blink. Then there are times when if you even
look like you are thinking about speeding, they’ll pull you
over.
I’ve gotten tagged doing 3 mph over the posted 25 limit,
fought that one, and won.
I also came around this corner on the local highway doing
75 on a posted 55, saw the cop sitting there and basically
said oh shit! I was the only car on the road at that time
and knew i was busted, so i pulled over as soon as i saw the cops tires start to move. He must have enjoyed the idea
that i knew i was busted and he only had to drive about 100 yards to catch me. Plus by the time he got out of his car, i already had my lic and ins card ready for him. He let me
go with a warning. It pays to be nice.
