# How much strain does ''display new posts'' put on the server?

Just out of curiosity. I like this feature, but don’t want to use it if it’s slowing down the boards.

I figured it wasn’t too bad (reasoning that checking the time for an inequality should only slightly more complicated than checking a forum number for equality), but wanted to check.
