Much like a vanity-published author, I’d have to pay a hefty sum to be _allowed_ to star in a porno. It would take another hefty sum to convince anyone to watch it. And paying for their therapy afterward wouldn’t be cheap either. ☹ ---

If I was just going to be the dick that gets used by the girl, I’d do it for $5,000 or $10,000, assuming my wife was OK with it, which she might be the day after pigs learn how to fly. If my face was going to be seen, I doubt I’d do it at all. I don’t need the money that badly. ---

But it’s no longer about money. The Lurker Above makes the valid point that it’s really about having sex with which ever celebrity (ies) you want and getting paid for it to boot. ---

The big issue for me would be if I would want to pick celebrities as my co-stars. As I’ve said, I’d be gaming the system - I’m looking to use this as an opportunity to have sex with some women who are otherwise out of my league. I have no desire to be a porn star. For me, the ideal would be nobody ever watches the tape afterwards. (And not seeing me naked is probably everyone else’s ideal as well.) Now if it’s a sextape of Jessica Alba, Olivia Wilde, and me, it’s not going to be an anonymous event. Millions of people will want to watch the tape and some people are eventually going to notice that ugly guy in the middle. My identity would almost certainly become public knowledge. So overall, I think I’d eliminate the fame factor and chose a couple of women who are as good looking as any famous actress but are as anonymous as I am. Our video will end up on YouPorn or someplace where it’ll be just another anonymous porn video seen by only a couple hundred people who I’ll probably never meet. ---

I don’t want a celebrity, necessarily, but someone so unbelievably hot and out of my league that every guy who watches it is thinking “Why the hell is she with that weird looking guy?” Plus $100k. I wish these hypotheticals weren’t so tempting. I get depressed that they aren’t genuinely possible. ---
