I learned from Asimov not to mention anybody but me. My Gnome collection is the best in the world! Bow to me all you little people!
Seriously!! Can you share what type of I, Robot you have? Something minty or signed or something? To me, it is one of the coolest Firsts ever, up there with Brave New World and a few others.
Minty and signed, yep. A beautiful copy, inscribed to the guy who became SFWA’s lawyer. And the trade paperback version, also signed. Possibly the only such pair in the world. And I got them for pocket change. Boo-yah!
I’m only missing six variants to complete the entire Gnome Press. (I have seven of the three Foundation books.) That’s why I’m doing the Gnome bibliography. From examining them I’ve found all sorts of small weirdnesses that aren’t catalogued anywhere, and I think that the standard issue chronology is wrong. Apparently nobody ever bothered to check Library of Congress copyright data. Gotta get those last six, though. I’ve only been searching since 1981.
Very cool and fun!! Thanks for sharing about that.
