As one man asked General Patton, ‘You find time to read the Bible?’ “Every Goddamned day.” Depends – I prefer to “abstain” most days, but I’ll use it if it’s around. I can’t stand the physical dependence, though, so I have some rules about when I can and can’t enjoy some refreshment, or how many days in a row I allow myself to use the substance. Not drinking to get drunk, ever, but it’s easy for me with my sex, size, tolerance, to have the equivalent of 16 or 20 drinks in an evening and still perform amazing feats of stamina. ---

I voted once per month, but it’s actually less. I’ll do it at a party or company function, and occasionally meet friends for drinks, but I never have any alcohol around the house. Now that I’m in my 40s, I generally prefer to be sober. ---

Totally varies. I haven’t had alcohol more than twice a week for 5 years, and sometimes I have wine every Monday, but often I go months with nothing. Right now it’s at about once, maybe twice a month I guess. That’s what I voted. ---

Less than once a month on average. Although I was at a professional conference last month and drank more in three nights than I usually do the rest of the year combined. ---

I voted ‘once per month’ because it’s the least frequent option available. But it would be closer to ‘once per quarter’. ---

2-4 times a week depending on events; we usually have either some beer or wine on Friday and Saturday nights, but will occasionally have some on other days if there’s a special occasion, or if we have 1-2 beers left over from the weekend or whatever. ---

Once every other night, maybe a bit more often. Occasionally I’ll have a beer or a galss of wine with dinner, but more often I’ll have a drink late at night while chilling out in front of the computer; in any event, I rarely have more than one drink a day. I may drink a little bit more on social occasions, but I get drunk maybe twice a year at most. ---
