I’ve eaten a few things that were cooked with alcohol, and I’ve drank grape juice that someone said tasted like it had turned (and said that meant it had some alcohol in it), but, otherwise, never. ---

Everyday. Usually a drink after work while shooting the shit with a co-worker and then a few with dinner. ---

“3 or 4 times a week” – but that’s only during football season. Grab some cold brews, put my feet up and watch me some NFL! Off-season, it’s more like once every one to two weeks. ---

one or two beers on holidays. i’d like to drink more but my dr says “no” due to hypertension meds and painkillers ---

I voted once a month but it’s more two times a year or something, and up until, say, the last two/three years, I was never drinking alcohol. ---

Fool of a took, you forgot less than or never or only on special occasions like weddings/new years/insert holiday here. I cook with alcohol more than I drink it most times. I might have a glass of wine once every couple of months or so [my cardiologist wants me to consider doing a glass of red wine every couple nights … I just can’t be arsed to keep making sure I have a bottle of wine hanging around, I see a bottle and I make coq au vin or boef bourguinon…:smack:] I might have a mixed drink once every 6 months or so. I can’t remember the last time I did a shot of vodka, maybe 8 or 9 years 😕 It isn’t that I object to drinking, I just don’t tend to drink. Being diabetic, I have to control my carb intake and alcohol is a waste of carbs. I don’t need to drink for self medication, I happen to actually _like_ myself. Though I do wish I wasn’t diabetic and gimp… ---

A couple of times a year. Last time I drank was about two months ago, I had a few mouthfuls of sherry at my grandpa’s birthday party. I think that was the first since Christmas. ---

I went with 3 or 4 times a week. Usually a beer or two after work on 2 or 3 evenings during the week, and a few (5 or 6) on Friday and Saturday nights. I rarely drink to get drunk anymore, just doesn’t do it for me anymore though these days it only takes a few before I’m starting to get fairly drunk anyway and don’t really want to go any further to avoid the aftereffects in the morning… ---

I used to hit it hard back in my younger days. Enough to cause serious problems for myself (and others). Now, one drink every few years is my average. Last one I had was a toast a couple of weeks ago after my uncle’s funeral. And it was just the one. I never used to be able to quit before it was way too late. It just doesn’t appeal to me anymore. Additionally, at my age a I suspect a hangover recovery would be a week long affair. ---

It varies. Most Fridays I go with some guys from work for 2 beers. Some Thursdays I meet up with another bunch of guys for a meal and may have 1 or 2 beers or just a meal. During football season I occasionally visit a friend after work to watch Monday night football on his pay TV service. If I do I have 2 beers. So say 150 a year. So 3 a week. ---

I have a couple beers maybe every 3 or 4 weeks. Rarely I’ll get something stronger like vodka. It’s sort of nice because I can get a nice buzz without much alcohol. But generally drinking makes me sleepy and/or horny, so that’s not always desirable. ---

Daily. Most recent average is probably 2-3 drinks a night. More on weekends. And I just got back from a vacation where I consumed much more than that, also daily. ---

I would choose never or perhaps once per year. Every so often I think, “A margarita sounds good. I love lime so I would love a margarita, right?” I get one and take about 3 sips before I realize that no, a margarita would not be good and in fact tastes like someone lit a lime on fire. It isn’t always a margarita, sometimes it is other kinds of alcoholic drinks, but I’m always left very disappointed by alcohol. I’m much happier with a limeade instead. ---

I think your poll needs “less than once a month” and “other” as options. WHEN I have money I drink maybe once or twice a month, BUT when I’m broke alcohol is one of the first things to go. So the last time I had a drink was when my dad took me and my spouse out to dinner back in June. ---
