Very seldom. The only time there were a spate was when I offered to look into people’s ancestry through my [Ancestry.com](http://Ancestry.com) membership. ---

I’ve received 23 since 1999. Although a couple of them were replies to replies, so I really only count 21. ---

Not many unique members, but often they do lead to long exchanges. In some cases these converstaions are continued through e mail or other places. Funnily enough hardly any of these posters actually stick to the boards for any time at all (and not because of bannings, at least not all of them). ---

I traded a few PMs with two other members years ago but I was the one that started the exchange. Other than that there has been nothing. ---

I’ve received 4 PMs in the last 4 years. Before then, they came a bit more frequently. ---

Lets see… Logs in, scans the PM files, Hmm… I have been on here for three years & have received 8 PMs. That is more than I thought I had. Two were Mods welcoming me to this board. I think that they should count. So it is 8! OTOH, I have sent 1 original one. The rest of my 10 sent ones are replies to the 8 received ones. I often just read the boards as a guest. I only sign in when I have something to add, which does not happen often. So if you PM me, it may take a month or more before I see your PM. Today, the OP raised this question. My initial reaction was that I was probably the poster with the lowest PM counts. It looks like I was incorrect about this. Hey look! I have another PM that I need to read & reply to. On to do that. If they took the time to write me I should at least respond to them. ---

One or two a year. If I get two, it’s usually because I responded to the first one and got a response to my response. ---

I never used to get any until recently. Now I’ve been having some nice back and forth with another member that I’m really enjoying. I like talking to people in general though sometimes I get distracted by something shiny and take too long to reply lol ---

The only PM I got was a trolling one…and from a mod, I think, who wanted to confess their sexual confusion. I was sympathetic and the mod with the trolling behaviour said it was a hoax. Oh well.
