# How often do you post in the BBQPit?

People have this view that the Pit is where posters go to be mean to each other… but it’s mostly where we go to be snarky to politicians and jerks who deserve it.

In fact, I usually ignore the threads like “I pit **Grumbledore** for the sexist stuff he said in _‘The Ladies of Labrador’_ discussion…”

Instead, I’m clicking on the [Stupid Republican Idea of the Day](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/new-stupid-republican-idea-of-the-day/911140/6202), or the [Monthly Mini-Rants](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/why-july-to-me-mini-rants/945421/112) thread.

I’ll tell you, the Trump Clusterƒuck thread got me through the last five years, and the Workplace Rants made me feel less alone in my frustration (and convinced me to retire!)…
