Never really. The lappy gets shut off only when I take it somewhere, otherwise it’s on the coffee table ready for use when I feel like reading SDMB from the couch. Desktop is always on, though I kill the monitor when I’m going to be away for more than an hour. The three servers in the apartment are never shut off of course. Sadly I have no impressive uptimes to post like [b Bill H.** right since my UPS didn’t survive my move to Houston and some bad power has taken everything down a couple times in the past month
