Never. Polls don’t mean anything. You can find a poll to back up any argument you want to make. 4 out of 5 people know that. ---

Sometimes the polls don’t apply to everyone. Sometimes I don’t see them. Sometimes I don’t care. Sometimes my reponse is “other” but I’m not in the mood to explain. ---

I vote in most of the polls where my vote is … uh … hid from all the world. In polls where my vote is shown to all the world, I vote in none of them. I hope those words are short 'nuff for you. ---

Sometimes. It really depends on the poll. If it’s something I have no idea or clue about, I’m not going to. I always vote in the [SDMB Poetry Sweatshop poll](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=576336), though! ---

I am oh, so tempted to start a new thread that points to this one with a title something like “Do Not Post In This Thread” just to see how long it would take to get 50 posts.
