# How often do you...ya'know?

Our baby’s ten months old now, and we find the time about once a week to once per forthnight. But it seems to be better quality when we do. Both our solo activities (youknow) have plummeted as well.

He’s 35, I’m 41, together almost 4 years.

Have any of you heard about the bean-in-a-pot rule? _“If you put a bean in a pot every time you make love in the first year of your relationship, and take one out for the rest of the relationship, you’ll never empty the pot.”_ We’re not doing so bad by that rule.

We would have emptied the pot in year 2.

Dear god, yes. Us too. 2.5 years of stressful mid-cycle sex has kind of killed the spark. It’s still there sometimes, but much less than before we made the decision.

So before baby-making (ha!) sex, probably 3-4 times a week. Now it is more like 5-6 times a month, over a period of about week, and sometimes that’s hard to achieve. Fun times.

I’m 32, he’s 35, together 5 years.
