# How old is too old to go to a strip club? For men, I’m going to say any age over 40. After 40, you start to become old enough to be those girls Dad which starts to cross the threshold into creepy territory. Not deep in the woods of creepy, but rather hang right there around the threshold. Women? If you’re the kind of guy that frequents “gentlemen’s clubs” I don’t think there’s an upper age limit. I certainly don’t think the girls give a damn. ---

I agree with your assessment that 40 is the maximum age to go to strip clubs. However, I’d also put a minimum age of 40. In my opinion, of course. ---

Q: how old is too old to go to a strip club? I’m a guy & of all the ones friends dragged me to when I was in my 20s, I never found one that was worth the price of one beer. I’m guessing that if you are 24 and still go, you have a problem. Not sure about the mandatory retirement age of the women there though. Maybe when they’re so old they soak their bras in Pinesol & pull a dancers and a janitors pay? ---

I should have thought that it is mainly older men - well, past 40 or so - that are likely to get some value out of strip clubs. Guys in their 20s or 30s should be _dating_ (or married to) stripper-aged women, or at least trying to. Paying to look at them gyrating on a stage is for losers. Past 40 though, and hot women in their 20s are officially out of reach, so the only way you can get a hint of a taste is by paying to see them dance\* (and you have probably come to terms with the fact that you are a loser). Your daughter’s age has nothing to do with it, so long as it is not actually your daughter, or one of her friends. Mind you, I say this as someone who never cared much for strippers, either as a young man or as an older one. I have been to strip clubs a handful of times over the decades, but never really found the experience more than very mildly erotic. You can’t actually start having a wank, after all. I could always do far better by myself, with just my imagination (or memories of actual women I’d actually fucked, in the past), and maybe a nude picture or two. As for creepy, I’d say _habitually_, regularly going to strip clubs is creepy whatever age you are. And OP, is your argument supposed to apply to porn too, because the same age issues are also involved there, surely? Is it really reasonable to say that it is cool for men under 40 to use porn, but not men who are a older? Sounds pretty ageist. ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ \*Or actually paying for sex, if you are willing to go that far. ---

I’m just curious as to what people’s internal thinking on this is. I went to a friend’s divorce party a couple of years ago at a strip club. I remember at the time being very self aware of my age (then 41); something that’s never occurred to me before. I don’t agree with your porn analogy. There is a degree of separation with porn that makes it oceans apart from going to a strip club. ---

You get to a certain age and there is nothing you haven’t seen a zillion times before that is featured in a strip club. Its like watching reruns of I Love Lucy, though I still get a kick out of hearing Ricky say, “LOOOOOOOSY. I’m home.” ---

I’m not a strip club patron and I always tended to think that it was for older guys myself. Why would a younger guy go to a strip club?? Makes no sense to me. Just go find a young girl your age and take her home. Older guys, however, need strip clubs in order to have access to seeing scantily clad young women, live and in person. Older guys who don’t have enough money for private escorts that is. ---

For a lot of young men, the idea of going to a strip club is less about sexual gratification and MORE about the _obectification_ of young attractive women. Also, while I do remember old men being in those places, they were in no way ubiquitous. I’d say about 30% of the clientele? At least, that was my experience some 20 years ago. (This was before the all nude joints started to sprout like wildflower.) ---

I’ve never been to one, but I don’t feel like anyone thinks you’re there to find a date. We discourage dating people far younger than yourself, because your expectations, goals, views, etc. aren’t going to line up and generally the older partner is taking advantage of his experience to push the relationship in his favor. None of that applies when you’re watching a girl dance up on a stage. I don’t think there’s any expectation that you’re supposed to stop finding 20 year olds attractive as you age, at a physical level. That’s just how we’re built. So I’d say that you should feel free to keep going as long as you want. But you’re probably better off to learn how to use the internet. ---

I’d expect that anyone who is still interested can go. I would expect the men to range between early twenties to late seventies (although I’ve never been to a strip club exactly…). I have never experienced either girls or men being much bothered they are dealing with their daughters/fathers age bracket. Sometimes this changes a bit when it becomes granddaughter/grandfather, but even then few people care. It’s business y’all and no matter what age: girls in their twenties are hot. ---

When you’re old enough to have lost interest, stop going. Whether that be 20 or 90 is up to you. I’m over 40, I can see the girls sizing up the bulge in my pants when I walk into a strip club.
