I’m the youngest, my parents were 30 (mom) and 31 (dad) when I was born. My brother was born four and a half years earlier and they’d been trying for five before that. ---

Jeez, you guys have late starters for parents! My mother was 18 when I was born (1948) and my father was 21. I am the oldest of three. My sister was born a year and a half later and my brother a year and a half after that. And growing up, all my friends’ parents were about the same age as mine. ---

My mother was 27 when I was born, my father was 30. My sister was born three years later. As a teenager, I remember both my parents turning 40 before any of my friend’s parents. I was 24 when my daughter was born, and a lot of my friends, now in their late to mid-thirties, have still to reproduce. I suspect that now, as more women work, there is probably a time lag: you have your children relatively young, and then try to concentrate on your career, or give your career a kick start, and then give in to your biological clock ---

I was born on my mother’s 33rd birthday. She had my brother a couple of weeks before turning 30. She was 34 when my sister was born. ---

Reading this thread has made me realize that I shouldn’t worry about not yet having a child (I’m 29). Mom was 28 when she had me, Dad was 30. She was 18 when she had my brother, he was 20. My MIL had six children from the time she was 27 to 39. In my husband’s first marriage, he was 24 when his son was born, 27 for his daughter. They’re 21 & 18 now. Not sure when we’ll decide the time is right to have a baby. He may be on the other side of 50 and have grandkids when he has to deal with diapers and midnight feedings again. YIKES ---

Mom was 22 when my sister was born, and 25 when I was born. We’ve also got three step-siblings that are older than we are. I was 22 when I had my son, and will be 33 when this one is born. ---

Mom was ~two months shy of 31 when she had me (youngest of three); 24 with my oldest brother and 28 with the middle boy. I am currently 24 and looking to get pregant next year at the age of 25. ---

My mom was 18 years and three weeks old when she had me (I was a whoops!). She was 19 when my first brother was born, 21 when my next brother was born and then 26 when my sister (and last sibling) was born. I was 25 years and 5 days old when my daughter was born and 26 years and two days old when my son was born. For three days every year, my daughter and son are the same age. I came home from the hospital with him on her first birthday. My daughter was 19 when her son (my grandson!) was born. He will be three on October 11. 🙂 ---

I’m the oldest of two boys. I was born 17 days after my mom turned 18. Seven months after the wedding. She insists I was born early, even though I topped 8 lbs. :dubious: The pastor’s wife had delivered the day before I was born and she was surpised to see my mom in the delivery area since I wasn’t due for two more months. Again, :dubious: ---

Mom was 30 when I was born. She had 2 other children before me. One died of SIDS the other adopted. She wasn’t married, so I was raised by my grandparents (She went out to a job interview when I was 8 days old, and returned 4 years later.) She married when I was 4 and had 4 more children. When I visited at age 15, she told her friends I was her neice. When they found out I was her daughter, She made me say I was 13. All because they believed her to be 30 instead of 45. My mother, gotta love her… maybe not. ---

Mom married at 18, had me at 20 and my brother at 26. And she tells me that she was “old” when he was born…a year younger than my childless self. :dubious: ---

My mother was 29 (30 later the same year) and my father was 38. They got together when they were 19 and 27. When my sister was born (different mother), Dad was a few weeks shy of his 25th birthday. ---

My mom was 22. I was the oldest of three. My youngest sister has two kids, the first of which she had at 37. She and my brother in law were trying all along, but it didn’t click until late. ---

Barely 19, just by two weeks. I was a UPR freshman in-utero 😃 By the time she turned 24 she was done with the 3 of us. ---

My mother was 22 and my father was 23 when they had me. They had my middle brother 3 years later, and my youngest brother 9 years later. Even though she was only 31 when she had my youngest brother, I was strong in my 9 year old opinion that she was too old to be having another kid. ---
