[So Charlie Sheen revealed today that he’s HIV positive](http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2015/11/17/patients-hope-charlie-sheens-disclosure--tested-hiv/75922430/). He says he found out four years ago, in 2011. Uh, okay. So you haven’t told anyone about it in that length of time? Kept it a secret? I don’t know, maybe he did let his romantic partners know. No way to tell, really. He claims he didn’t affect anyone with it, but with how big his ego is and how he thinks of himself, it wouldn’t surprise me to learn that he’s been endangering others all this time. I mean, I understand it can be a person’s right to keep diseases they have private, but this just strikes me as an overly selfish thing that a person–who is an overly selfish asshole normally–did. Here’s hoping your expertise and sure fire confidence that you didn’t pass it on to anyone is correct, dickhead. ---

In the article I read he said he disclosed to each partner, and the reason he’s coming out with it now is because they’ve been extorting money from him. I guess it’s up to each of us to decide how much we beleive him. ---

I am mildly interested, because I used to be a fan of his. I feel bad for him and worse for anyone he slept with who might not be aware (though he viral load is apparently negligible, making the risk extremely low, but not zero). It’s an interesting tidbit how much the face of HIV has changed over my lifetime, that this reveal is a mere blip. ---

So I’m no fan of Charlie Sheen, but you’re basically pitting him over what you believe he might have done, but explicitly denies having done, without so far having any shred of evidence to the contrary? ---

He already has had two “goddesses” [come out](https://www.yahoo.com/celebrity/bree-olson-disputes-charlie-sheens-claim-that-he-181518907.html) and say he never told them, and that the condoms he used were sheepskin. Both have since tested themselves and do not have HIV, but still. ---

The Tiger must have been infected. In all seriousness, I watched him the other day in Platoon, so young and he really showed some great acting chops in that film, he probably had the potential to be a great actor. I feel badly for his personal substance and sex abuse issues, the guy clearly has a lot of personal problems, HIV is a heavy price to pay. At least in this day in age, medical science has progressed enough that it isn’t the death sentence it used to be. ---
