I pronounce it as **uh-SEAR-on** but everyone else seems to pronounce it **a-SIR-on** with a long _a_, as in hate. None of us are wholly correct as the root word, _æsir_, is pronounced **a-SEAR** , though. ---

I know I do, but only because I used to chat a lot with someone on IRC who had a similar name (same first two syllables, I believe) which was pronounced like so. ---

No fair. I was doing my Spanish homework. I actually found your post after 13 minutes of back-breaking translation, and it took me a full two minutes to switch back into English mode. Plus, in another thread I correctly, well, wrote how to pronounce your name, and I’m pretty sure I was the first one. Our contract stipulates that you now must bake another cookie for me and not only hand-deliver it but also call my uncle to wish him a happy birthday for me, as a penalty for your failure to deliver on your original promise. ---
