How should the NCAA be handling the the basketball tournament and the coronavirus?

Did anyone think there would be brackets? Some sports media people are putting out their brackets but they don’t have much to do now.

I know some people want to simulate it on computers and video games, just for fun, or semi officially. I’ve even heard of some who want to bet on it, so official brackets would have been used for something.

NCAA does not like betting at all so that’s a big reason they were not going to put out brackets.

I’d like everybody to know that I made NO INCORRECT PICKS in this year’s NCAA tournament bracket! Wasn’t there a $1,000,000,000 prize for a perfect bracket in previous years?

Bah, I’ve never made an incorrect pick in an NCAA bracket.

Some schools were hoping that there would be brackets so they could put up “NCAA Tournament 2020” banners. Apparently, that’s a source of pride at some schools.

Also, there’s a money element involving how well teams do in the tournament, although I have a feeling CBS is going to defer this year’s share of the contract money.

If you want to make your own brackets, you can always go by the NCAA’s NET ratings to determine the at-large teams.

many coaches get a bonus for making the tourney and it gets bigger with each round they win. I assume all those bonuses won’t happen this year .

It looks like this thread might be a better fit for our brand-new forum.

Today and tomorrow (March 21,22) CBS is showing classic NCAA BB games. Today at 12 it’s 1982 NCAA title game. at 2 it’s 1983 NCAA title game.
