Along with [gdave](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/how-should-the-pit-be-changed-if-at-all/946859/75), [ISiddiqui](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/how-should-the-pit-be-changed-if-at-all/946859/70) and [Delayed\_Reflex](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/how-should-the-pit-be-changed-if-at-all/946859/66) in this thread, who haven’t been Pit and want the Pit eliminated or changed, there are several more in the other threads. From just a cursory glance at the other threads, there’s also [kevlaw](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/why-is-the-sdmb-membership-declining-and-whats-the-best-way-to-add-younger-members/944208/426), [codinghorror](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/why-is-the-sdmb-membership-declining-and-whats-the-best-way-to-add-younger-members/944208/484), mod [RickJay](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/why-is-the-sdmb-membership-declining-and-whats-the-best-way-to-add-younger-members/944208/242). and [GuanoLad](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/revisiting-the-bbq-pit-boon-or-bane/944413/96) that I don’t think have been Pit and want the Pit to be eliminated or changed. I’m hoping not to have to see that argument that people who want the Pit gone are only those people who have been Pit repeatedly. It’s just another example of how quick some people are to vilify people who are against the Pit. Back to the OP, I like the idea of the thread and the poll, but I think the poll results _may_ be skewed. Just from my observation, many people who post in the Pit also post in ATMB. I’m not sure if that’s so true about people who post in say, IMHO. There’s a poll in IMHO where almost half the people say that they don’t post in the Pit or frequent it rarely. I often see the same names in ATMB that I see in the Pit, but I see people who frequent IMHO posting in ATMB less often. Without public polls, it’s hard to tell how much the overlap is.
