And scrabbling is the same word I use to describe it to my coworker when I explain why I always turn the roll around after she has changed it…I hate trying to reach under a low-hanging roll and scrabble the paper against the wall, trying to catch hold of the end. I want it coming right over the top and off the front! ---

Well, I wish I’d seen the other similar poll before posting this - I looked; just not thoroughly enough, apparently. All those wishing for a 5th (or 6th) poll option are SOL - I specifically wanted to hear only from those who have an opinion for either top versus bottom, expecting to find a correlation to gender which didn’t materialize. I guess bottoms, regardless of gender, are just weird. Perhaps there’s another correlation - left-handers, gingers, etc? ---

I can stand at the bathroom door, look both ways to make sure kitty is nowhere in sight, and the minute my foot crosses the threshold, the cat will be in front of me. As a kitty-mommy I cannot remember the last time I was able to use my bathroom unescorted. I think they teleport. ---

Woman, also don’t care or notice. I have strong opinions on whether the top sheet of a bed should go right side up or down and the correct way to fold a towel, but all I care about for toilet paper is that it’s there. I think I need to change my vote! I will admit to being a total ditz and I was picturing “over” and “under” completely backwards. Even after people started talking about “top” and “bottom” I didn’t clue in. But I was just in my (personal, I am the only one who uses it) bathroom and the TP is most definitely **over** …and that is how I like it. 😉 The kitty can get to it, but he doesn’t (preferring to play with my toes instead) and it is easy to grasp. ---

I have solved this issue by never hanging my TP. However, if I were to do so, it would be from the bottom. ---

I’m an “over the top” guy. My business partner put the roll in “under the bottom” the other day at the shop. Came up with a great new product idea that morning. Called his ass up at 6 am sitting on the throne. One way toilet paper dispensers. Simple one way bearing, and some way to lock it into the roll. Sell 'em in an “over” or “under” version. If you put it on wrong, you don’t get any paper. Goes along with my “man seat” idea. Where the seat stays up, unless you actually grab it and sit on it. ---

I just voted for male / bottom. If my wife were a member here she’d vote female / bottom. We agreed before we got married, so we’ve avoided the dreaded Tissue Issue. So far it seems the bottom is by far the minority ~75%/25%, but there isn’t much male vs. female skew. ---

Genius! We need ‘em in the ladies’ room too! If I never see another pee-covered seat again, it will be too soon. Although it still wouldn’t foil the women who stand on the seat and squat, but that’s mercifully rare.
