Iā€™m a woman and have never noticed once how TP is hung anywhere. This is maybe the third thread in a forum Iā€™ve seen about this issue - I canā€™t believe people care about this at all, much less fight with their spouse so seriously about it, it facilitates a divorceā€¦! ---

How many of you here remember Ann Landers and her daily newspaper advice column? She was asked this question years ago and printed her advice that the paper should flow from the top of the roll. She regretted it. Her advice prompted a deluge of letters from those who disagreed followed by a tsunami of readers who disagreed with them. After some months of back and forth, she finally told her readers that she would no longer publish any comments on the matter and I believe suggested that people do what they like. Probably good advice. ---

The under people are just _weird._ Over the top is the only permissible way. Fortunately I live alone so I donā€™t have to deal with this issue, and my cat leaves the TP alone. ---

I dated a woman once, who went on a 20 minute rant about this very subject, then turned to me and asked me which way I stood on the subject. I replied that itā€™s not something Iā€™d ever even thought about before she bought it up. I also pointed out that if the replacing of the TP was the biggest thing you could find to bitch at your spouse about, you should just shut up and consider yourself fortunate. I think that was the last time we went outā€¦ For the record, I usually hang it over the top, but if someone else has put it on the other way I donā€™t bother to change it. ---
