You have a point here, but I think the era of the freakishly tall stiff was an experiment that has been discarded as a failure. Guys like Muresan and Manute Bol and the assorted 7’ white guys you used to see in the 80’s and 90’s have largely disappeared, replaced by athletic big men like Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitski, Shaq, etc.
I am really drawing a blank trying to think of a tall stiff still in the league. I’m sure there are a few still around. Marginal guys like Raef LaFrentz and Shawn Bradley are 10 times the athletes than the guys who used to ride the pine 10 years ago.
