I’m unattractively shallow on the height issue also. I stand 5’10" barefoot and while I have dated guys my height, I feel too huge and awkward to date guys any shorter than I am. I feel most comfortable with guys 6’2" and above, as then I can wear heels and not feel Brunhilde the Warrior Maiden. ---

I’m 5’10". Mrs Iggy is about 4’11". She is certainly the shortest woman I’ve been with and I would say I wouldn’t generally be attracted to those much shorter? Call it 4’9" for an absolute limit? I’ve dated women a little taller than me… 5’11", but I prefer to be the taller one in the relationship. Call it 6’ for an upper limit. ---

I worked with a young woman in college, who was one of the most breathtakingly beautiful women I’ve ever personally known (she looked more than a little like a young Farrah Fawcett). She was 5’10", and had a hard-and-fast rule about not dating any guy shorter than 6’2", for the same reason you have. ---

I am on the short side at 5’7". My preference is 5’0"to about 5’5". I have no problem dating taller women. For some reason I have had some very tall women over 6’2" who were attracted to me. The only thing I can figure is that they see most men as shorter and how much shorter doesn’t seem to matter. ---

Anything under 7 feet or over 4 is fine with me, all other things being equal. One of my previous girlfriends was a smidge over 5’, and another was 6’2". (I’m 5’10"). The Lovely and Talented Mrs. **Shodan** is 5’8". Regards, Shodan ---

I’m 5’10" (down from a high of 5’11" - curse you, settling spine) and the tallest man I’ve dated was 6’2". God, it was glorious. Almost everyone else has been my height or maybe an inch taller. Why? Because tall men generally prefer short women. In my younger days I would get incensed when I saw a short woman with a tall man, but I’ve mellowed and realized they’re allowed to have a preference, just as I am. I’m uncomfortable dating anyone shorter than I am, but I’m generally uncomfortable around short people. They make me slightly nervous, what with their darting about. I don’t think I have a maximum height limit, but it would be nice to find out. And, back before I absolutely ruined my feet with them, I regularly wore 3-4" heels. Being tall is powerful, man. I gave zero rats’ behinds whether anyone thought I “should” be wearing them or not. ---

5’8" female here. I, too, have heightism. I am not comfortable dating a man even the same height as me, much less shorter than I am. I like to wear heels occasionally and hate that Towering Amazon feeling. I already have enough body image issues; kissing down bugs me. Give me a man 6’ to 6’5", please. On a side note, I had a 5’4" guy on dating site repeatedly try to convince me to go out with him by telling me how many “over six foot tall” women he had dated and “serviced” satisfactorily. How nice for you. :dubious: The answer is still no. ---

I like short women. No idea why. Although my first major crush was on a tiny redhead in high school. Guess what is exactly my ideal physical type? Height, like just about anything, isn’t a deal breaker. I’m 5’9". I’ve been with women up to my height and maybe a little taller. I’ve also been with women as short as 4’8". My ex-wife is 5’6" and my current long term girlfriend is a little more than 5’2". That is probably about right. ---
