It would be strange if the body was in the on-ramp.
What about under the in-ramp?
IOW, he’s trolling, yes?
Then the police might have suspected the mafia.
Clearly the problem with this is that nobody offs themselves on the on ramp. You do so on the final exit ramp. The one off the deathpool lane.
On a scale from awful to fantastic, that one was median.
Please. No puns about people walking on highway on or off ramps.
That’s just so … pedestrian.
I know, my joke was tired. I just can’t seem to get my motor running today. I just feel like I’m out of gas.
I thought only celebrities can use the deathpool lane.
You’re right, hmmm…this investigation just came to a screeching halt. Let’s do a U-turn and back up on this.
You’re going to pay a huge toll for that one.
Actually, the only part of his story we can varify at this time is that date and place this woman was found dead. I’ve done some searching and only found one small article about the incident-I even checked SAG records to see if she was a member, and found nothing.
Interesting.
As soon as it was pointed out that there is no fucking way in hell the cops would allow civilian to just walk up to an accident scene and view the mangled remains of a victim, Stan fled the thread.
Oh. I just noticed the other thread. That does put a different spin on things.
Still, I’m sorry for your loss, Stan. It would be better if you were able to cope with it by not overgeneralizing about large groups of individuals. Not all cops are crooked and horrible.
I’m saying, I can see someone coming off the highway at 1:30 AM and still be going fast enough not to avoid a woman running out on the road, but turning a corner to get to the highway and having accelerated fast enough not to avoid her while still on the ramp…that’s strange. The only thing listed is a head injury, a strange limited injury for a getting hit with a car.
Wasn’t she supposedly lying in the road? It could happen then I suppose.
Maybe, in addition to being so incredibly tough that he can bully cops engaged in a murder(?) investigation (telling them who to investigate and how to do it), and is such a fantastic detective with such incredibly keen powers of observation that he can walk around a car, at night, and determine that there was “No blood here, not even a speck, and the van has not been washed!”, maybe he was able to sneak past the cops to view the victim because he is also a NINJA!.
Actually–it just became clear to me;
Takes over the investigation of a homicide–check
Able to sneak in and out of crime scenes without being seen–check
Has an adversarial relationship with cops (but one where he’s ALWAYS in the right)–check
Incredible detective with unearthly observational skills?—check
Armchair psychologist who instantly sees what the victim’s husband and mother couldn’t?–check
It’s obvious–Stan is, in reality, the Dark Knight…the Batman!
Did I guess right BatStan?
In case anyone’s still following this, here are some more news stories from the Burbank Leader:
Initial story
Follow up story
Obituary (Last one)
Follow up from five months later. It was still being investigated as a hit and run at that point.
I haven’t really joined in with the Stan’s full of shit coalition, and I’m not doing that now. However, in that last article it said:
Stan explained it to us here. Do you think the officials should be notified?
“CHP officials and Burbank Police initially questioned people close to Cortes in connection with the incident.”
How dare they try to frame innocent people!
