# How the heck do I get these emails?

I know it’s a spammer trick, but I’m wondering. over the past few weeks I’ve been getting spam email that has absolutely -nothing- in the ‘to’ line that has anything to do with me, except perhaps the ISP. Just wondering how this gets dumped into my mailbox, out of a sick sense of curiosity.

The easiest way is for your address to be in the “BCC:” (blind carbon copy).
