Back when people used to have porn on VHS if you borrowed a mates porn and put it in the video player it could continue playing where they finished watching it. So you know just what was there favorite part of the movie. A little bit to much info for my liking. ---

Put it in a bag and leave it at a bus stop. People leave all sorts of things at bus stops. Just put it down and walk away. ---

I had the, umm, opportunity to render this service to a friend of mine who died a few years ago. I knew there was a stash somewhere and that it was a, sort of, secret stash. While helping his widow sort through some things I quietly shifted the “big box of porn” off to the side. Her response when she saw me move the box was along the lines of “Oh, that’s some old magazines”. My reply, “I’ll just get rid of them for you”. Of course she knew what was in the box but I doubt she had studied the contents. After careful study of the magazines and videos, to make sure there weren’t any valuable family keepsakes accidentally mixed in, I ended up just dumping them into 3-4 trash bags and tossing them into the usual trash (the material was not to my taste.) How often does someone open a black plastic trash bag at the dump? ---

They employ trash pickers to go through and separate everything. It sounds like a horrid job, but I bet they have a good porn stash. ---

When I moved, I disposed of 2 years of Penthouse magazines (covering the end of their “hardcore” era and the beginning of the new, weak, Playboy style pics). I also had 4-5 DVD’s to dispose of. I offered all the vids to a lady friend, who took 3, and gave the rest of the vids and the magazines to another female friend. Sadly, neither of them ever called me with dirty phone sex as a result. ---

During the course of my last job, I came across a dumped pile of bad porno movies (at least the boxes- I didn’t see if there were any DVDs in them) that had been dumped behind a Circle K gas station. Ew. was my first thought. Then I just laughed about it. I should have taken a picture. ---

I’m thinking of leaving mine to the guy who lives two houses down the street. When I was a young teenager, I lived in an apartment that this guy owned. When we moved in, we piled a ton of stuff in the attic storage. Quite some time later, I was looking for something in our storage when I noticed there was an opening to the other half of the attic above the owner’s apartment. Being a nosy bastard, I pawed through his stuff and found a stash of porn mags. I swiped the whole pile. Decades go by, and he buys the house down the street. I doubt he knows I’m that kid whose family rented from him long ago. I’ve sometimes wondered if he missed his mags. So if I kick before him, maybe I could have a box for him with a note of apology, while returning his mags and giving him mine. ---

There’s something to be said about leaving it in a secret location for some other homeowner, renter, and/or generation to find. I was living in an apartment building for at least a year before I noticed a false ceiling in the hall. Inside the secret compartment was a stash of pristine old mags. Not porn (unless you call WW2 Reader’s Digests porn), but interesting to read, nevertheless. ---
