# How to dry soaked shoes

Shoes got soaked in a brief downpour yesterday. Googled how to dry them and someone suggested stuffing them with crumpled newspaper overnight. Didn’t have newspaper, but I did have various old printouts, so I used those, and it worked like a charm – just had to remove the soggy paper wads this morning. But they were dry!

Are you me from this past weekend? No, wait, are you my wife and/or one of my inlaws?

We got poured on this past Saturday and my wife said to her parents “You should stuff them with newspaper, I read about this somewhere but I can’t remember where.” And it worked like a charm!

I’d literally never heard about this hack until this weekend and now I see this thread? If you don’t believe in coincidences…
