Well I hope to god the people who want to lop off limps are less than 100% serious, but just to be safe, food coloring _is_the standard solution for your basic pet-owner. ---

Mix up a strong Koolaid solution and drop the mouse in it for a few seconds. You can even dye a little, yappy dog that way. Red Koolaid makes them a bright pink and looks pretty Kool. ---

I know from experience that a homemade “deskunking” bath of tomato juice on a white dog will produce a tomatoey/skunkey-scented dog that is pinkish-orange in hue. ---

If you have an entire herd, it might be better to brand them, vs dye them. This would be permanent, and guard against rustlers. ---
