Ugggh. I just accidently deleted my mp3 folder with 600 songs. Don’t ask how. I don’t have norton unerase and I guess the folder was too big to put in recycle bin because they aren’t there. I downloaded some recovery program and it found all this stuff but no mp3 files. What the hell do i do? ---

You can try doing a system restore back a few days. Don’t know if it’ll help, though. ---

Cough. System Restore. Cough. Not only I don’t have that, but that just does registry and ini stuff doesn’t it. I deleted a whole folder. ---

Another program you may find helpful is [url=http://www.runtime.org/]GetDataBack. [/quote] They have versions for both FAT32 and NTFS. ---

and while you’re at it… avoid using the partition in which the dir was… any writes to that drive might overwrite your mp3s… so basically if it was your D: drive, avoid using the D: drive… also, try to install the data recovery software on a different partition than that on which the dir was deleted from… so if it was your C: drive, install the recovery software on D: … though this would still write to the registry in C: it will reduce the risk of overwriting your mp3s… ---
