# How to get dog pee smell out of a car seat

So one of our dogs had a medical emergency last weekend (she seems to be fine now, fortunately), and while we were driving her from the emergency vet to the normal vet, she emptied her bladder all over the back seat.

So after things calmed down I took my car to a car wash to get the seat shampoo’d, but that didn’t seem to do much for the smell.  
Any suggestions?

Good luck  
I’m dealing with a customer right now that has this issue. I sublet the car to a specialist who is telling the customer to file a comprehensive insurance claim as this is not going to be a cheap repair.  
If you want to go the DIY route pull the rear seat and clean behind/user it then try trays of coffee grounds.  
I don’t think this will work but good luck.

I just used it to get rid of a really, really bad odor left by a female dogs on my back seat. _Much_ worse than dog pee…

If took two applications, but the stench is gone.

Something with enzymes… I’ve never seen anything else work. Nature’s Miracle may be one of them. We picked up Citrus Magic and it worked pretty well.
