How to get paint out of hair?

The car has not insignificant frame damage on the driver’s side from some groovy telescoping action of the wheelwell into the backdoor into the front door. Like so… There are no plans to repair it.

It was just MiL in the car and the paint was in the back seat. It looked like one of the cans of paint clipped the back of a headrest, ruptured, and coated the front of the car. MiL won’t let me take a pictures (oh, vanity) and has already been coating the inside of our bathrooms with mineral oil for several hours today and yesterday.

I don’t know if it’s actually working, though, since she insists on wearing an opaque shower cap whenever she’s out here.

Poor lady. Was she hurt?

As for the hair – try the Goof Off. I’ve had good luck with that (although my only experience is with the “whoops while painting” situation. Maybe try sectioning the hair, adding the Goof Off to a smallish section, letting it sit for a minute or two, then fine combing that section to scoop out the paint. Then move on to the next section. Then lather, rinse, repeat and reassess.

Perhaps you can convince her that you must have a photo of her hair for the law suit. You know, pain and suffering, emotional distress, reimbursement for the mineral oil…

Well, did the paint come out of you MiL’s hair?

She got most of it out, but eventually resorted to scissors on some of the more stubborn bits.

She used mineral oil.
