# How to get WMP 9 to show in REAL full-screan

For some reason, this does not effect 16x9 videos, but whenever I play a 4x3 video on my 4x3 CRT monitor, “full screen” does not really seem to mean full screen to WMP. I get an almost-blank blue bar (excepting the title of the file in a 12-point font at the top) on the right side of the screen. Also, I cannot get rid of the volume controls and title bar at the bottom and top of the screen.

I’ve been through all the options, but I cannot find a setting that will enable me to view my videos with the full screen I have come to expect from VLC and earlier versions of WMP.

This strikes me as supremely stupid. What gives?

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Oops. Nevermind. I had been watching short videos on the player and moving my mouse at the same time. Leaving things idle makes it fade away to true full screen after a few seconds. That’ll teach me to keep fast-forwarding my porno. 🙂

If a mod comes across this thread, please close it.
