# How to get YouTube thumbnail link

I looked at the FAQ.
I tried the search.
I got a bee in my bonnet and wanna post a link to a YouTube vid, and I want it to show as a thumbnail/video not blue words.
Help my dumbass please. Show me what to click.

I’m sorry but I don’t follow.
I want to link to a YouTube video, and I want the little video window in the thread, not a text link.
I thought I had seen that done here, but I could be TOTALLY wrong.

You can do a little better than that, though. You can have blue text containing descriptive words of your choice, rather than just blue text showing the URL.
That is, instead of:
[ ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMgweTjsx2Q)
You could have:
[YouTube video of **BobBitchin’** jammin’](https://youtu.be/UMgweTjsx2Q)
ETA: And with a bit of extra effort, you can also make a link to a
[somewhat enlarged view of the thumbnail pic](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/UMgweTjsx2Q/hqdefault.jpg).

Thanx I like those options. I was better ( not great) at this stuff when I had a desktop. I hate using a phone for internet.

I’ve always been a night owl. I have a theory a bunch of us are this way ,because we were born at night. Can y’all verify that?.
I’ve always hated that saying “nothing good happens after XXX o’clock”
Maybe " nothing virtuous" but if you say" nothing good" I say you didn’t party at my house.🆒😃
