# How to handle Amazon disallowing Kindle downloads?

Were you able to download books _within the Kindle app on a PC_ and then transfer those to the Kindle via USB? If so, it’s not clear to me whether you’ll still be able to do this or not. But you won’t be able to download them onto your PC (so that you can transfer them) from Amazon’s “Content and Devices” page.
