How can I make something really hard and can support weight out of
baking soda
box of corn starch
three dimes
box of salt
creame of tartar
quart of water
package of jello
one quart of vinegar
two pounds of flour
one charcoal briquette
one egg
one thumbtack
two pounds of sugar
one bottle of Vegetable oil
two round toothpicks
sheet of paper
one q-tip
two birthday candels
one paper clip
one rubber band
one 3inch by 3 inch piece of aluminum foil
ten sheets of toilet paper

Just off the top of my head, I’d say boil up your water and mix the sugar into it until you have a super-saturated solution. Pour it into a container of some sort and let it cool. It should make a really big chunk of rock candy/ breakaway glass. Seems if you were careful not to drop it it should be strong enough to support some weight. And its definitely hard.
Is this a school assingment or are you just bored?

I challenge thee to specify: how much weight?
how much of the various ingredients are available?
what other types of devices may be available (freezer? microwave? stove? blowtorch? )
for which class is this homework assignment?

“as much weight as possible”, isn’t a helpful answer.
amounts listed - included “a box of salt”. Well, that could be the round thingie of Mortons’ which is about a pound I think or the box of rock salt I use to de-ice my driveway in the winter. Or the box of Kosher salt also available in a variety of sizes.
so, in a normal kitchen, is there a blowtorch (there is in mine, it’s a long story) are there molds available?
One can construct a simple paste of flour, salt, water, put it into a mold, let it harden (or bake) and it comes out roughly (no cracks here) the “hardness” of a baked clay - if it was in a shape that would “hold” something (like a sheet of it) then it could hold something of some measurable weight.
Let me make another suggestion. Step away from the computer and go to the kitchen to assemble the ingredients and try some things.

What form is the finished product supposed to take. Is it one of the bridge things? does it have to be at least 6 inches tall, and have somebody stand on it?
P.S. Since you’re trying to make something really hard involving of flour, water and baking soda you should try my ex-girlfriend’s biscuit recipe.

it is supposed to clamp on to a tabletop and we are going to hang weight on it
