# How to market Website/Domain Names

A friend owns a couple of websites, planned to set up several more, & reserved domain names for them. She has decided to just stay with the two sites, and point the extra names to them, but she also has them available on sale on her Host’s service. How else can she market those site names? especially on eBay?

What sort of domain names are they? Company names? Service names (e.g. [storage.com](http://storage.com))? If they’re single word and .com, I’d imagine the best way to sell them might be to put up an ‘all enquiries about this domain’ page and hope that a buyer is out there looking.

It’s been many years since I did any of this, but back in the day [Sedo.com](http://Sedo.com) was basically _the_ place to buy or sell domain names. They also had a feature where you could “park” the domain name with them, they’d serve ads, and in theory they’d pay you the ad revenue from them.
