We want to move from one work laptop to another, but the important thing is to take Acrobat 5 to the new laptop, as that is the real workhorse for its purpose. What are the steps necessary to transfer the software to the new computer? ---

Deactivate the license on the old computer (under Help menu). Install using original CD on new computer with original license key and activate. Update as far as you can. ---

In previous post, replace “CD” with “online download” if necessary. Adobe is better than most at keeping your user/purchaser account easy to use – if that’s where you downloaded it originally, you shouldn’t have a problem doing it again without paying again.
