I was gonna ask that. I don’t use Facebook. I can’t imagine having something like that unless it’s used to connect with people. Or whatever.

My son only uses Facebook for the Marketplace function - an alternative to eBay where you shop for stuff from local people, letting you avoid shipping charges, etc.
I thought that’s full of scammers. I swear I read it here on the Dope.
It sounds like the scammers tend to do stuff like demand prepaid debit cards before you ever see the merchandise. My son takes his buddy along and deals with people who meet him face-to-face and swap motorcycle or truck parts for cash at a public location, like a Walmart parking lot.
I don’t use Facebook at all now, bit I do have several accounts related to a job I was in.*
It was a long time ago, but I recall facebook allows you to change your date of birth once (and once only)
Perhaps set that to something underage? I think you need to be at least 12. The algorithm should change content based on age.

Like so much online, I’ve trained myself to not even notice so much that I consider “noise.” I have fewer than 20 “friends,” and belong to 2 groups. If I want more, I will add them intentionally. So I couldn’t tell you whether the suggested “friends” are male, female, scantily clad, or whatever.
I just decided such selective “blindness” was more effective than managing whatever settings - and readjusting when they change.
I use it for work. Part of my job is to find out about people and I can’t easily access their facebook footprint if I’m not on facebook.
I’ve found that the desktop, mobile web, and mobile app versions are organized differently, with some options not available everywhere. And apparently Facebook will roll out changes to just some users while it experiments. And it changes frequently.
