I added a citation to a Wikipedia article. The [1] denoting the citation is there. The citation is in the References. And… The bit I added the cite for still says [citation needed].

How do I get rid of the [citation needed] and just leave the [1] link to the cite?

If you edit the article, somewhere after the fact in question, there should be a {{fact}} or {{citation needed}} tag. Just delete that and resave it.

Perfect.

I assumed that [citation needed] would be coded with {{citation needed}} and it wasn’t there. It was the {{fact}} code.

Thanks.
