# How to search for a particular phrase ?

Does SDMB search engine allow for a phrase search ("salt substitute " )  
like google does ?  
Can I use any Boolean logic at all ?

The search engine does NOT allow for searching for a phrase “xxx yyy zzz” the way Google does.

The search does not support phrases, but it does (grudgingly) support Boolean and wild cards.

So you can search for _salt AND substitute_  
or you can search on _substitut_\* to find substitute, substitutes, substituted, and substution.
