Had a doctor regularly get 2 hours behind even for 8 and 9am appointments. Somehow still in business. Some regulars got to “slip in” and you could see the frustration from everybody else. I stopped going to him after a couple visits. Rescheduling wouldn’t do any good at a place like that.
I have said more than once that I wish Disney were in charge of the government. Imagine how much less things like going to the DMV would suck. I’m not even sure if I’m joking anymore.
I do not care if they care (call me Melania). I’ve been lucky to never be kept waiting. My doctor (who recently retired) was not a great doctor, he mainly just looked at what my presenting complaint was, then arranged referral to the appropriate specialist.
But imagine having to buy an admission ticket at Disney prices for any service every time you went.
But would I still have to pay taxes then? Also, think of how much more fun the road test would be!
For a doctor’s office, it might even be cheaper. As it happens, I’m going to Disneyland next week; my ticket was $169. Twenty years ago, as a newly-sexually active person trying to be responsible and all, I asked my perpetually behind-schedule doctor for a pap smear and STD tests. My health insurance declined to pay for just one of those tests, and I got a bill for $500!
