# How to stop Facebook from auto-refreshing? (Safari)

Recently, Facebook decided that if I go to the Facebook window from another window, it will refresh the content. It’s already impossible to search//find an earlier post. How do I stop Facebook from automatically refreshing?

I’ve read things like click the gear icon, then click Refresh and turn it off. Or go to Security. I don’t seem to have a Security option, and I also don’t have a Refresh option.
